Combining film noir, psychological terror, science fiction, hot-rod rebellion and drive-in creature features, this collection transforms the freedom of the open road into a dangerous journey with no safe destination.

1. THE HITCH-HIKER (1953)

Two friends traveling through the American Southwest make the deadly mistake of picking up a stranger.

Their passenger is an escaped murderer who holds them at gunpoint and forces them into a terrifying journey across the desert. Every passing mile takes them farther from safety and closer to death.

2. DETOUR (1945)

A down-on-his-luck pianist hitchhikes across the country in hopes of reuniting with the woman he loves.

His journey becomes a nightmare involving death, mistaken identity, blackmail and one of film noir’s most dangerous female hitchhikers.

3. THIS IS NOT A TEST (1962)

Motorists traveling along an isolated highway are suddenly stopped by police and ordered to remain at a roadblock.

As reports of an approaching nuclear attack spread, fear and suspicion begin tearing the stranded group apart. With nowhere to escape, the roadside becomes a desperate battleground for survival.

4. THE GIANT GILA MONSTER (1959)

Something enormous is roaming the lonely roads of rural Texas.

Cars disappear, travelers are attacked and local teenagers discover that a gigantic creature may be responsible. The monster soon moves toward town, leaving destruction across the highway.

5. THE SADIST (1963)

When three travelers experience car trouble, they stop at a remote junkyard looking for assistance.

Instead, they encounter a violent young killer who turns their roadside delay into a deadly ordeal. Trapped without transportation or outside help, the travelers must find a way to survive.

6. CARNIVAL OF SOULS (1962)

After surviving a mysterious automobile accident, a young woman leaves town to begin a new life.

During her lonely journey she becomes increasingly haunted by a strange figure who appears along the road and at an abandoned carnival pavilion. Reality begins slipping away as the figure draws closer.

7. THE WILD RIDE (1960)

A reckless young hot-rodder lives for speed, rebellion and danger.

His increasingly violent behavior leads to murder, kidnapping and a desperate flight from the law. A young Jack Nicholson stars in this dark drive-in crime thriller.

8. THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS (1954)

An escaped prisoner takes a young woman hostage and uses her sports car to flee the authorities.

Their escape leads to a tense highway chase and a dangerous automobile race that may provide his final opportunity to cross the border and reach freedom.

9. THE BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS (1961)

A scientist exposed to radiation is transformed into a murderous creature roaming the desert.

Travelers and vacationers soon find themselves hunted across the barren roadside landscape while authorities search the wasteland for the mysterious killer.

10. NIGHT FRIGHT (1967)

A mysterious creature begins attacking people along isolated country roads and lovers’ lanes.

A local sheriff investigates the strange killings and must uncover what is stalking motorists in the darkness before the creature claims more victims.

11. MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE (1966)

A family becomes lost during a road trip and seeks shelter at a remote lodge.

Their overnight stop becomes increasingly bizarre when they encounter a strange caretaker named Torgo, the mysterious Master and a group of sinister followers.

12. THE YESTERDAY MACHINE (1963)

After their car breaks down along an isolated road, two young travelers become involved in a bizarre mystery involving disappearances, a sinister scientist and an incredible machine capable of manipulating time.

Their roadside emergency soon threatens to alter both history and the future.
