STORY SUMMARY

Timid, browbeaten Elmer Finch is pushed around by everyone in his life, from his domineering wife and spoiled stepson to his overbearing boss, and even the family dog. His miserable existence takes a wild turn when a stage hypnotist accidentally convinces him that he is a fearless lion. Suddenly bursting with confidence and courage, the newly emboldened Elmer sets out to settle scores with all his tormentors in a riotous comic rampage. A wonderful vehicle for W.C. Fields' physical comedy, Running Wild is widely regarded as one of his finest silent features.
