Crunch and Des (1955) is a rare and short-lived television comedy series starring Forrest Tucker and Sandy Kenyon as two Navy veterans who run a charter boat service called the “Gay Lady.” Their misadventures in and around the marina lead to lighthearted mix-ups, bumbling clients, and nautical humor typical of 1950s syndicated television.
Produced by Roland Reed Productions and directed by Harold Daniels, the show captured post-WWII optimism and maritime adventure in half-hour sitcom format. Only a few episodes survive today, making this 2-episode collection an authentic piece of classic TV history.
